Protecting a Site of Special Scientific Interest
At Tidcombe Fen Nature Partnership, in conjunction with the site owners and community, we are dedicated to protecting and safeguarding the site's precious wildlife and habitats both for its intrinsic value and the public good. Our collaborative work in managing this SSSI and surrounding environments ensures that future generations can enjoy the beauty of nature, situated on the edge of the town of Tiverton, in Mid Devon.
Please note there is no public access to the site. It is private land, is ecologically sensitive to disturbance and may have cattle grazing the site.
Given the boggy nature of the site, some areas are treacherous and positively dangerous to enter. Please feel free to join us on our guided works, volunteering days or by special arrangement.
